Anne‑Marie Wills‑Wilson
I am a self-taught pet and wildlife artist living in the beautiful North Norfolk countryside totally surrounded by the wildlife that I adore. I've always been dotty about animals and, over the years, have been owned by lots of pets: dogs, cats, budgies, rabbits, mice, chickens, horses and even the odd frog or two!!
When I work I pay a lot of attention to fine detail which gives a natural and lifelike appearance to my portraits. The greatest compliment that I can receive about my art is if someone says that they can almost hear the animal breathing or that the fur looks so real that they want to run their fingers through it. I don't just want to paint a beautiful animal, I also want to capture its personality too.
Each portrait takes many hours of work and I use the highest quality pastel pencils, soft pastel sticks, pan pastels and paper to achieve the best results.

Brian Edwards
Dr Brian Edwards is a retired member of the RIBA, author of the book Understanding Architecture through Drawing, and Emeritus Professor at ECA Edinburgh University. He paints what he sees and what is in his mind. The subjects are composed of elements present and imagined in an attempt to show how places could be if the ugly shopfronts, cars, people, mistakes of planning and visual clutter were removed. In this sense the painting and cards are more idealised than photographic. He lives in Sheringham.

I love the colours and effect of stained glass which started as a hobby in 2011. I then studied the technique of fused glass which has the versatility to manipulate and mix the glass in interesting ways. My work is inspired by nature and the natural environment and I continue to experiment with new techniques in my studio in Norfolk.

Portrait artist Charlotte Ashenden offers portraits of children, adults, dogs and houses, working from photographs or sittings. She focuses on capturing a great likeness and the character and 'spark' that makes them their lovable selves! She also enjoys painting artworks inspired by her Christian faith, and flowers. At school she was very average academically and embarrassingly terrible at sport - but really excelled at art! My interests lie in the natural world - animals, birds and botanical art. I use watercolours and coloured pencils, on their own or together to achieve the vibrancy, depth of colour and detail I enjoy. I aim to show the personality in both my bird and animal paintings. I also like to portray this in the needlefelted birds I have begun making in the last few years.

I am based in Norfolk, surrounded by marshes and a river running by in the distance. Very lucky indeed. It would be difficult not to be involved with the wild world in such a place, so that's what I seem to be working on. The starting place is wildness and a need to express our connection with it, as well as to celebrate the beauty of what is here and thriving, an essential survival tool for us all in these alarming times.

Having lost my husband in 2022 my evening's became difficult. While watching craft tic-toc's I found Mandala dot art. The beautiful symmetrical patterns made with dots and swooshes inspired me to want to try it. I discovered I enjoyed the preparation finding the centre and ever decreasing circles and learning different patterns and techniques.
As I got lost in this art form I found inner peace. I'm still learning and developing my own style and colour combinations, reflecting on my mental peace and tranquility which the Mandala art invokes.

Di Lindsay
Dianne Lindsay has an essentially realistic response to the rural and marine environment of Norfolk and Suffolk. Exhibiting for the last 10 years between Cromer and Southwold. The colour: lights, sights, and sounds of local views have always inspired her. With a strong interest in communicating, and the need to share the joy of painting with others. Aiming to do this with a fresh, spontaneous, vibrancy with a fullness from a colourful life and a need to capture the mood and moment in each piece.
Her work features trees, gardens and local heritage sites including doorways, harbours, and pier views. Dianne enjoys working plein air as the light and skies in Norfolk are incredible. She can be found completing commissions at home nestled along the coast, and in her spare time will be found in her second love, her garden.

I have been making mosaics since 1996 and have developed my own style by experimenting with different techniques and materials. I like making mosaics in relief rather than flat, and the grout is an integral part of each piece; not just to fill in the gaps. I like combining a variety of mosaic materials and less traditional ones such as wood.
I had a shop in Hastings for 5 years, which was also my studio. Talking with people who were enthusiastic about my work was rewarding, and getting commissions, which I have had from all over the world, is proof of their enthusiasm. I moved to Norfolk in 2004 and now I work from home on commissions whilst continuing to explore the possibilities of new techniques through my own work.

Guy Allen
Guy Allen is an experimental printmaker, draftsman and talented young British artist. Working hard from his studio on the North Norfolk coast, Guy’s trademark experimental approach to printmaking presents an exciting mix of colour, gold-leaf and an original, contemporary take on the traditional art of etchings.
Studying at Central St Martins from 2008–2011 Guy discovered the printing press on a trip to the École Nationale Supérieure Des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Finding an art form that lent itself so perfectly to his artistic aspirations was a revelation. He has never looked back.

I am a Yorkshire lass who studied art and sciences then graduated in genetics! Since moving to North Norfolk in 1982 I have found time to develop my life-long fascination with colour and form. Further study has stimulated this exploration: the tension between process and outcome being both exhilarating and exhausting - my journey in art continues.

I am self-taught but attended various courses in sculpture whilst living in Holland. I learnt to sculpt in clay until a friend introduced me to wood sculpturing and found that is where my passion lies. Unfortunately being somewhat older now, my strength slightly diminishing and having no suitable workshop at present I have reverted back to clay with a ceramic touch as opposed to pottery.
I love experimenting but find I'm mostly influenced by the nature around me. I never seem to know before hand which twist my piece will take on. All my pieces are original and a one-off as when I have finished a piece I'm ready to create something new.

When I retired in 2008, I joined a watercolour class to get myself started on the journey. My only ‘formal training’ before this had been an Art ‘O’ Level in the late 1960’s.
I paint and draw in a variety of mediums; watercolour, acrylic, pastel and pen and ink. Since painting and drawing has become my main hobby/pastime I find that I observe the world around me in a different way; I notice colours everywhere and often see a composition in the countryside, my garden, buildings and even people in the street.
I have worked on one or two successful commissions. The feeling of seeing someone else enjoy my work is incredible.
I love the challenge of trying something new, different and often difficult.
I think anyone can draw and paint given the correct encouragement and a willingness to get it wrong more often than getting it right. My mantra is ‘Its only a piece of paper.’

I create statement pieces of Wearable Art Jewellery. Colourful sculptural jewellery made from mixed materials including eco silver, copper, brass, leather, gemstones and Jesmonite. I experiment with casting, etching, patination, mark making and enamelling. I take inspiration from museum collections and the natural world. I am fascinated by ancient jewellery and relics, the work of Alexander Calder and Picasso’s Constellation drawings.

I began my watercolour journey some years ago, but suffice to say it was late in life. Its roots go back to my childhood growing up in Cumbria and the paintings of my rather eccentric uncle, Ernest Glaister. Living there, he was never short of beautiful scenery to paint.
I was inevitably drawn to landscapes myself and now I have beauty all around in North Norfolk. I can only describe the recurring theme across my artwork as: 'I paint what Norfolk means to me'. It’s such a tranquil and unspoilt corner of the world. Yet it’s so fragile.

My fascination with clay began as a child in west Africa and developed into a passion through my 20s when I attended the studio pottery course at Harrow School of Art. I subsequently shared a studio with Hartwig Witte in Oldenburg Germany until finally opening my own studio 10 years ago. I make high fired stoneware inspired by natural forms and the marsh and sea where I live in Salthouse north Norfolk. Recently I have built a wood fired kiln at Wiveton. I love the accidental effects of wood ash and flame on the pot surfaces.

Mike Thody
Since early childhood art and design have been part of my life. After retiring early from my career as a building surveyor, I chose to take a degree in fine art (painting and sculpture) at Hertfordshire University. In 2002 we moved to North Norfolk and I was lucky to have a garden studio to continue my work painting in oils, watercolour and pastels and making sculpture.
In 2003 I started making sculpture in Holt Country Park using found materials and timber supplied by North Norfolk District Council.
In 2008 I started a small charcoal drawing class in Hempstead at the village hall to inspire new artists. Having concentrated on watercolour painting inspired by North-Norfolk churches, country side, sea and boats for the last few years, my current work explores the use of charcoal and pastel.

An Open College of the Arts Course and a Natural History Illustration course has been the basis of my practice. Charcoal is my favourite medium. I am interested in the potential of relief printmaking, especially linocut, for producing a different style of work.
Recently I have introduced colour using various media, sometimes combining materials and techniques to produce collages. The freedom of abstract work inspired by cityscapes and the natural world has been another avenue of exploration.

After being brought up in rural Mid-Wales, and retiring from a career in countryside management, I now live in North Norfolk and follow my passion for watching and photographing wildlife. I aim to depict the Art of Nature, achieving a simplicity in-camera which belies the level of fieldcraft (and patience) required to achieve this. My work has won numerous awards in competitions such as Bird Photographer of the Year and WildArt Photographer of the Year.

I have always loved art but recently I began to experiment with mixed media and textiles and now it has become my passion. Living by the sea in beautiful North Norfolk, I am inspired by the surrounding nature and wonderful colours.
Over the last year my work has focused on the concept of 'Under the surface', encouraging the viewer to see things not always evident with the naked eye and to look beyond what we notice at first glance.

I live in the heart of the Norfolk countryside surrounded by the natural landscape of fields, trees and open spaces. The ever-changing seasonal patterns give me inspiration for my ink and watercolour paintings and my love of interpreting natural lines into shapes and patterns.

I’ve been many things in my life, chef, blacksmith, gardener, worked with resin in an interior furnishing business and decorator. But it was not until the first lockdown, that I found my true love of clay and started sculpting animals.
I have always loved our British coastline and fell in love with north Norfolk; on visiting as a child and now as an artist. This is where I take a lot of my inspiration: the big open skies and the incredible, vast beaches. I now sell my work in two galleries and two hand-crafted shops in north Norfolk.
My main subject is seals but I love to create all wild and farm animals and I’ve just started to work with a combination of wood and clay sculptures.

I’m a printmaker using a variety of techniques to produce work inspired by the Norfolk countryside, wildlife and coast.
A monotype is a unique print, typically painterly in effect, made by applying paint or printing ink to a flat sheet of metal, glass, or plastic. The resulting image is transferred to paper either by manually rubbing or using a press. Each print is a one-off which cannot be repeated.

I moved to North Norfolk two years ago and have since enjoyed exploring the area through birdwatching, walking and sketching. Pen and watercolour field sketches form a basis for finished wildlife and landscape paintings made in my studio with Cley marshes and its birdlife providing inspiration for much of my work, as well as travels to seabird colonies in Scotland. From my studio I enjoy painting still life and work in a variety of media including oils and pastels.

Terrie began her glass journey in Hertfordshire twenty years ago, with cold glass producing 'stained glass' panels and windows before going on to copper-foiled glass. After moving permanently to North Norfolk, Terrie attended a course on fusing glass and was hooked! She now works with Spectrum, Oceanside and Bullseye glasses to produce colourful decorative and functional pieces. Terrie often includes copper, silver, oxides and frits into her work. She especially likes dichroic glass and casting glass.
Terrie trained at Middlesex University, majoring in Art, before pursuing a successful career teaching in and working with primary schools for over 30 years in Norfolk and Hertfordshire. Her work has been sold at many exhibitions and has now found a new home in many different countries!

I have over 15 years experience working with traditional blacksmithing techniques and metal fabrication. This includes English Heritage and restoration work as well as private and public commissions. I enjoy working on restoration projects of old gates with intricate floral panels, and the processes of making the decorative flowers and leaves. This gave me the idea of focusing on these delicate features and to make them the focus of a large sculpture.
I enjoy natural history and more recently I have been working on various animals, including octopus, squid, bugs and otters.
